22 Aug October 7 Field Trip – Long Arm Program
Please note we will NOT be meeting at the church in October. Our October 7th program will be a field trip to visit the home of one of our long arm quilters and learn more about the long arming process. What really happens to your quilt after you deliver it to a long armer? How long does it take to load a quilt? What should YOU do before you hand off your quilt to get the best result from machine quilting?
Eight of our members have graciously agreed to host a field trip visit, but space is limited, and they need to know how many visitors to expect. Please sign up to visit the home of one of our long armers by either putting your name on a sign-up sheet at the September 9th general meeting, or by emailing Michelle Braisted.
Please note, most of our locations require climbing stairs to the sewing studio. Arrival time is any time after 9:30 a.m., with the one-hour (approximate) demonstration beginning at 10 a.m. The only exception is Sandy Cole’s home, where arrival is any time after 9 a.m., with the one-hour demonstration beginning at 9:30 a.m. Listed below are our long-arm field trip hosts:
Franklin area and northeast of Franklin:
- Kathy Boyuka, Nolensville
- Colleen Cassidy, Nolensville
- Jill Zollinger, Franklin
Southeast of Franklin:
- Sandy Cole, Franklin
- Jeanette Sanford, Franklin
- Joyce Oberle, Franklin
Spring Hill/Columbia:

If you are a long armer and would like to participate by opening your home for a field trip, please contact Michelle Braisted and she will put you on a waiting list.
