As we close out the final four months of the year, here’s a month-by-month look at what’s planned.
September
On September 1, we will host a Zoom presentation by Kylie Ferons, who will share her quilting journey. Although she has been in the industry for a relatively short time, her story is already impressive: she is a fabric designer, book author, and software designer.

We also will host a trunk show by Jeanette Sanford on her perfect paper piecing technique. Jeanette will lead a paper piecing workshop on Wednesday, September 2, at the Brentwood Library from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A few spots are still available, and the class fee is $40. To join the class and receive the supply list, text Colleen Cassidy directly at 615-636-4770.
And we will feature a special presentation from several of our traveling Quilt Guild members—one you won’t want to miss.
October
Rob Appell from California will be our presenter on October 6. If you have not heard him speak before, you can expect an engaging and entertaining quilting program. Rob will also teach a workshop on Wednesday, October 7, at the Brentwood Library from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The class fee is $60. If you are interested in attending the workshop, please text Colleen at 615-636-4770. Payment may be made by check (payable to CVQA) and given directly to Colleen, or by PayPal; the PayPal link is below.
November
On November 3, we will celebrate the work of our Guild quilters. This is your chance to share your accomplishments, challenges, UFOs, works in progress, or anything else you would like to display. Remember that your President’s Challenge quilts (or quilt tops) are due in November. We also will recognize members who won ribbons over the summer in any competitions they entered. Please bring your work and share it with the group.
December
Our holiday party will be held December 1 at the Williamson County Enrichment Center. Planning is still underway, but everything is coming together nicely. It promises to be a festive gathering for anyone who loves the Christmas season in Tennessee. More information will follow.
