Quilts of Valor

Usually the heaviest months for the Quilts of Valor Committee are May and November, but this year has been different. We have had presentations throughout the first four months, and we even have requests for November already. It is going to be a good year for all of us!

In April we had two different presentations: one at Vet Court and one at the Nolensville Coffee Club, where a WWII veteran was honored. He is 91 years old and was thrilled at your efforts. In May we had a presentation at American Legion post 215 where we honored three veterans, and one at Vet Court where we honored two veterans. We have another planned for an individual who is a Vietnam veteran. We also have requests for June that will be filled.

I hope to see you at our June guild meeting, where the program is on Quilts of Valor. One of our members will present a Quilt of Valor, so if you have never witnessed a presentation make sure you are at the June meeting. I don’t think you will be disappointed. There is a lot of time spent on making these presentations and you will be amazed at what our committee does. Keep up the good work!
