The Membership Committee will hold a Welcome Breakfast for new members of the last few years on Tuesday, October 27, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the Williamson County Public Library, 1314 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, TN 37064. The 2027 Quilt Show Planning group is bubbling along as complicated pieces come together. RAFFLE QUILTS: Two are under construction and should be completed by early March so we can begin serious marketing. Traditional Quilt: Eileen Sherrill has wizarded together the traditional strip-pieced quilt with a new border miraculously blending with the center. Valerie Curtis will quilt it. Modern Quilt: Sherry Crockett has planned, cut and farmed out batik fabrics (hers and other group members’) to a great team of Ronald McDonald veterans for construction. What a month this has been! I am so proud of our group. You may not know that we have 30 CVQA Quilts of Valor committee members plus eight more that make stuff but don't belong to the guild. They have long distances to drive, daytime jobs, and lives that are full. One of these is Luci. The CVQA 2027 Quilt Show is just a little over a year away and we will be ready! The dynamic Quilt Show Planning Group meets mid-month, usually on Wednesday, at Beth Smith’s or my (Marianne Cooley’s) house.
