Membership Committee Update

The Membership Committee is looking forward to seeing everyone at the August 4th Guild Meeting! Here is a little food for thought: If you have a friend or neighbor who has been thinking about joining CVQA, now is a good time to join. Our Standing Rules state that “Dues will be prorated after July 31st of the current year to $20.” What a bargain! This is the perfect time for a new member to check us out. Community Care Committee

At our July meeting we received 13 quilts, 8 Owl Buddies, 5 totes, 17 pillowcases, and 3 quilt tops. Keep the goodies coming! Since the last newsletter, we donated 11 baby quilts to Love on Wheels (I mentioned this at the July meeting). Love on Wheels was thrilled to get the baby quilts as they have a need for them. Williamson County Fair – August 7-15

Get ready! The Williamson County Fair will be held August 7-15 at the Agricultural EXPO Park in Franklin and we need volunteers to “man” the quilt exhibit. As she has done for many years, Connie Little is in charge of the exhibit and Valerie Curtis is managing CVQA volunteers. The fair is open from 6-10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10-10 Saturday, and 12-10 Sunday.
