The Art and Practice of Quilt Appraisals
After receiving rave reviews for her CVQA presentation in February, Lynn Rinehart is returning to speak at our April 7 meeting. This time, she will delve into the fascinating world of quilt appraisal.
Quilt appraisal goes beyond simply examining needle, thread, and fabric. It requires a comprehensive understanding of the art, history, and value of quilts, looking deeper than just the materials used. Certified quilt appraisers require training, education, and continuous professional growth. They must keep up with quilting trends to ensure their valuations are accurate.
Following our business meeting and Show ‘n Tell, Lynn’s lecture will begin at 11 a.m. A trunk show will be included, providing members with the opportunity to view a variety of quilts and further enrich their understanding of quilt artistry and value.
