Williamson County Fair – August 7-15

Get ready! The Williamson County Fair will be held August 7-15 at the Agricultural EXPO Park in Franklin and we need volunteers to “man” the quilt exhibit. As she has done for many years, Connie Little is in charge of the exhibit and Valerie Curtis is managing CVQA volunteers.

The fair is open from 6-10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10-10 Saturday, and 12-10 Sunday. Volunteers will work 4-hour shifts as (1) white gloves (and talk with visitors about the quilts), (2) raffle ticket sales, or (3) quilting demos.

In return for your service, you will get free admission the day you volunteer, plus two free passes to the Fair. In addition, there are volunteer caps and t-shirts (while supplies last), an ice cream social and a volunteer appreciation dinner.

It takes a village to staff the quilting display, so please let Valerie know which day you’d like to volunteer. You can call (preferred) or text Valerie at 615 957-0936 to sign up for your favorite times and ask any questions you may have. If you can, bring a husband or a friend to make the time pass faster. (Husbands love selling raffle tickets.)

P.S. We will also need volunteers to hang the quilt displays on August 5 and if you or your loved one can climb a ladder, that’s a plus!
