18 Mar President’s Message – April 2026

My very favorite season of the year has officially arrived!! I love Spring with everything turning green, gorgeous flowers popping up, sunny skies, and warmer, longer days; new beginnings are everywhere!! My husband, however, has reminded me that we can still have frost until April 15th. Ugh! I won’t even consider that!!

I hope that you enjoyed our March Guild Meeting as much as I did. Colleen Cassidy, along with Patti Hansen, did a fabulous job of organizing our very first ever “Anything Stash Sale!” Oh my golly, what a streamlined event!! Tables were set up early and helpers were at the ready to assist sellers carry in their wares. There were many smiles and happy voices from both vendors and buyers all morning long. Not only did we have an abundance of our Guild members present, but we also had many guests for this spectacular event. I hope that it was profitable for all! An ending bonus, Smart Art had a van here to gather up any unsold items and transport them back to their shop in Nashville, free of charge for us. I’ve heard many compliments and hopes that we can do this event once again, possibly next year. Thank you to ALL who participated in some way!!

April will be back to normal. Colleen has revised our plans since our original speaker will not be presenting. Whatever her plan, I know that it will be a fun surprise. I’m also looking forward to our normal Show n’ Tell which is always stunning. Don’t forget “Outta Your Box” creations, and for the President’s 2026 Quilt Challenge, I still have four pieces of yardage available. We’ll end our meeting by awarding Door Prizes with the ever fun, Mary Dono.
