21 Feb Happy Anniversary Nimble Thimbles!
It’s hard to believe that one of our small groups has been going strong for ten years! Formed in 2016 when Connie Specter was CVQA President, the Nimble Thimbles group has been meeting monthly to chat and work on individual handwork projects. Chris Guenther and Nancy Garrison have been there since the beginning and Lin Stricker joined just a couple of years later.
At first, the group met in members’ homes; then at Quilting Squares; on Zoom during the Covid pandemic; and now at the Williamson County Enrichment Center. Although the faces have changed over time, the group hovers around a dozen members, including a few non-CVQA members. At the February meeting projects included stamping and cutting patches, hand applique, embroidery, English paper piecing, and final binding stitches.
If you’d like to check out the Nimble Thimbles group, contact the group’s leader, Chris Guenther, and she will add you to her email reminder list and/or make plans to come to the Williamson County Enrichment Center, Studio 2, on March 19 (the third Thursday of the month) from 9 to 1.
