19 Dec Community Care Committee 2024 Wrap-Up!

Another great year has gone by for our Community Care Committee. All of you have made our charitable committee a success, thank you! Since the last newsletter, we have donated 9 quilts to Bridges of Williamson County for their graduation / Christmas party for the women that have completed their year long program. Christine from Bridges is holding the red quilt, we gave them the prettiest ones we had! Also since the last newsletter, ALL of our Owl Buddies have flown the coop! All 23 of them landed at Mercy Community Healthcare for their children’s Christmas party. Pictured is Raye McDonald with an Owl Buddy. It was their office Christmas party that day and it was a pajama party, she looks ready to have a good time! We also donated all of our baby quilts, all 8 of them, to Graceworks “Our Little Angels” program. Pictured is Denise with the baby quilts. So members, keep those Owl Buddies and baby quilts coming in! Also pictured are the 5 quilts we received at the December meeting.

Below is the year end donation summary. Thanks to all of you , we donated 192 quilts to the community (along with a lot of pillowcases and Owl Buddies)! You are making an impact on your community, thank you!

Our workdays are the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at the Bethesda Senior Center. Our next work days are January 9 & 23. We start at 9am and end at 2pm, bring your lunch! Please note if it is icy or snowy we will cancel the workday.
