Community Care Committee

April was another good month for our Community Care Committee. We received eleven quilts, a flock of Owls, one quilt top, wheelchair caddies and walker caddies, and many tote bags. Thank you once again guild members!

This month we donated four quilts, seven walker caddies, four wheelchair caddies, four totes, and seven owl buddies (for the memory care patients) to Mulberry Nursing and Rehab (formerly Claiborne & Hughes Nursing & Rehab). Pictured is Sue receiving the goodies for their residents/patients. Later in May we will donate a large quantity of quilts to Tennessee Kids Belong for two upcoming video shoots. In the videos, children who are up for adoption tell their stories in hopes of finding a forever family. The day is filled with fun in a party atmosphere, and the kids receive all kinds of goodies, including a quilt from you!

Our workdays are the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at the Bethesda Senior Center. The next workdays are May 14, and May 28. We start at 9 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. Bring your lunch!
