President’s Message – March 2026

As I was driving along Arno Road today, to my delight, I saw the very first signs of Spring! I saw several clumps of tiny daffodils peeking above the grass. What a fun sight on a sunny, but chilly day. My favorite time of year is just around the corner!

I hope you were able to be part of the inspirational program at our February meeting. With her engaging smile and her happy voice, guild member Lynn Rinehart captivated her audience, sharing her many magnificent quilts. Lynn has a style all her own and she is not afraid to venture into parts unknown when creating her treasures. Thank you, Lynn, for kicking off our year with such a special program. Word has it that your postcard workshop was equally fabulous!

Like me, I bet you’re looking forward to our inaugural “Anything Stash Sale” at the March 3 meeting. To allow lots of time for our many members to sell their wares, we will forgo our usual business meeting, along with Show n’ Tell, the book sale, and door prizes – but please listen up for a couple of announcements. We want to allow lots of time for browsing and buying all the goodies that members are willing to part with at their tables. Please bring cash (preferred) or checks to buy your goodies. Sellers will not be set up to accept credit cards. This should be a fun experience for all!

If you are interested in joining my President’s Challenge, I still have four pieces of the required fabric. The free downloadable pattern is on the Benartex website and the yard of fabric is $10. You have until our November meeting to complete your quilt, when we’ll have a fabulous Show n’ Tell. I’ll bring the fabrics to our March meeting. I can’t wait to see what you create!

Have a good rest of February…….

Looking forward to March…… Keep on Quiltin’……… Lots of Hugs, Joyce
