22 Dec Ronald McDonald House Bunny Quilt
The CVQA Ronald McDonald House* Quilt Committee completes and donates a quilt each year to the Nashville Ronald McDonald House to support its annual fundraising efforts.
- Our 2024 Ronald McDonald quilt raised $1,200 at the recent Light Up the House auction!
- Our 2025 Ronald McDonald quilt is nearing completion. Following Elizabeth Hartman’s Bunches of Bunnies pattern, all bunnies have been completed, and the committee co-chairs (Maureen Prester-Henry and Kathy Boyuka) need a few volunteers to sew the bunnies into rows. If you would like to help, find Maureen at the January 6 meeting and she will give you your assignment. The completed rows must be turned in by our February 3 meeting so they can be handed out to other members for final completion of the quilt top.
- Maureen and Kathy are already thinking ahead to THIS year. For the 2026 Ronald McDonald quilt, we will have a cut and sew day on a Saturday in February. If you want to participate, be sure your name is on the Ronald McDonald Committee sign-up sheet at the January 6 meeting. Maureen and Kathy will let you know as soon as the cut and sew date has been finalized.
*The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities is to keep families close by providing essential resources and a “home-away-from-home” for families of critically ill children receiving medical care at Nashville area hospitals.
