President’s Message – November 2025

Is it almost November? I’m having a difficult time keeping track!! It seems like we just had our field trip visits for long arm demos and to learn “What you need to do to make your long-armer happy.” And now it’s time to prepare for an in-person November Guild meeting. It will be “sew” much fun to, once again, hear the chatter and see smiles that happen prior, during, and after guild meetings. I’m excited and I hope you are, too!

It has been a really fun year with the many different programs and activities that Michelle planned for us. She has really stretched her brain to come up with new ideas. One of my favorites has been the small groups that were formed this year. I know that my UFO Group has had a productive and get-to-make-new-friends kinda year. We plan to continue meeting in 2026; if any of you would like to join, please let me know. Meeting monthly at the Williamson County Library, you know that we have plenty of room. I’m also hoping that the friendships formed within the other groups will inspire the desire to continue meeting. It’s been a great year for new activities. Thank you Michelle!!

The end of this year is drawing near. This means that it’s time for some decisions: a new Board of Directors needs to be approved, and it’s time to approve a budget for 2026. Many members have been working overtime to identify Board nominees and prepare the 2026 budget so we can vote on these items at our November 4th meeting.

It’s also time for you to be making your plans for 2026. How do you want to contribute to CVQA in the year ahead? While many committees have a chair, a few are still in need of a leader. Perhaps you want to continue on your committee(s) from 2025 – or maybe you’d like to try something new! Whatever you decide, I think 2026 will be another fabulous year.

December is our final “hurrah” for 2025. We will be celebrating at the Williamson County Enrichment Center, as you can see in the invitation that appears later in the newsletter. Be sure to RSVP and to pay your $15 fee in order to be part of the fun. Kay Fisher always puts on a fun party and I look forward to seeing you there!!

To sum it up, it’s been a happy and productive Guild year for all of us. Thank you for being part of CVQA.

Looking forward to our November, in-person meeting.

Keep on Quiltin’……… Lots of Hugs, Joyce
