25 Jul Quilts of Valor

We presented two quilts on July 14.

I have picked up four bins of fabric donated to QOV by one of our veterans who is moving to assisted living as his wife has Alzheimer’s. He has a lot on his plate, as he needs to sell their house, conduct an estate sale, and handle moving their furniture. I am going through the fabric, measuring it, and will be sharing some with others in our guild as a lot of it is not patriotic fabric.

At our August meeting I will have about eight quilts that need binding. Trimming them up and cutting the fat quarters, strips and squares has taken a lot of time, but our veterans are worth it! We will have kits and quilting also at the August meeting for those of you who need something more to do (LOL).
