21 Jun Quilts of Valor

Once again, we have so many people to be thankful for!

• Carol Stankewicz brought us a bunch of labels for our quilts. She does a great job of making them. A couple of folks who make their own quilts needed some labels, then I took the others to the center for Pam DeLong to use when she puts the quilting sets together.
• Lin Stricker needed labels for two quilts that she had made the tops for and will also quilt them for us.
• Eileen Sherrill also needed some labels for the quilts she makes and presents to veterans.
• We received donations of fabric for kits and Pam will enjoy putting together some really cute kits using it.
• We got five completed tops and a couple of completed quilts at the June meeting.
• Pam Vadasz left two quilts that she had bound and labeled at the center for me this week.
• We received a $200 donation from Mr. and Mrs Hoover who are very supportive of our efforts.

We presented two quilts at a VVA meeting and seven at Vet Court. Jan Edleson is still working on presenting quilts to the Vietnam vets that DAR pinned this year.

I will not be at the July meeting but if you have stuff to turn in, you can leave it at Quilting Squares and Pam or I will pick it up.

I have probably left off names of folks who have been so active in QOV and I am sorry if I missed you. We all know you are fantastic!
