My very favorite season of the year has officially arrived!! I love Spring with everything turning green, gorgeous flowers popping up, sunny skies, and warmer, longer days; new beginnings are everywhere!! My husband, however, has reminded me that we can still have frost until April 15th. Ugh! I won’t even consider that!! I hope that you enjoyed our March Guild Meeting as much as I did. Colleen Cassidy, along with Patti Hansen, did a fabulous job of organizing our very first ever “Anything Stash Sale!” Oh my golly, what a streamlined...

It has been a busy, busy time for our Quilts of Valor group! We had a presentation at Vet Court on February 23, and a presentation on February 12 at a church in Spring Hill. We’ve been so busy, we ran completely out of batting but got more ordered and delivered. Pam also selected some new backing fabrics as we were getting very low. I ordered more new folders for the certificates and bought more bags to put the quilts in for you guys to work on. Pam has done...

[gallery ids="2313,2314,2312,2311,2310,2309,2308,2307"] The Community Care Committee has had an active month! We received sixteen quilts, and numerous Owl Buddies, totes, pillowcases, and walker caddies at our March meeting. Thank you! Since the last newsletter we donated twenty-two baby quilts to Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for their annual service women's baby shower. Shout out to CVQA member Jan Edleson, who connected us with her Old Glory Chapter of DAR for the donation. I took the baby quilts to Jan's home while her DAR buddies were there and they ooh’d and aah’d...

What a fun sight on a sunny, but chilly day. My favorite time of year is just around the corner! I hope you were able to be part of the inspirational program at our February meeting. With her engaging smile and her happy voice, guild member Lynn Rinehart captivated her audience, sharing her many magnificent quilts. Lynn has a style all...
