It’s hard to believe that one of our small groups has been going strong for ten years! Formed in 2016 when Connie Specter was CVQA President, the Nimble Thimbles group has been meeting monthly to chat and work on individual handwork projects. Chris Guenther and Nancy Garrison have been there since the beginning and Lin Stricker joined just a couple of years later. At first, the group met in members’ homes; then at Quilting Squares; on Zoom during the Covid pandemic; and now at the Williamson County Enrichment Center. Although the...

[gallery ids="2259,2258,2257,2256,2255"] Hello quilters! I have not given out any quilts since the last newsletter, but I promise quilts and other items will be leaving the shelves at Bethesda in the next couple of weeks! Community Care Committee received 15 quilts at the February guild meeting. Keep those quilts, pillowcases, Owls, totes, and walker caddies coming in! At the March meeting, I plan to have a small table set up with projects in the hall going to the restrooms. So come to the hall and pick up a project or two before you...

It was delightful to see so many happy faces. My smile got even broader when Marianne Cooley came to me after the meeting and volunteered to be our Recording Secretary for 2026. Thank you Marianne!!...

Our February 3 meeting features Lynn Rinehart: fiber artist, certified quilt appraiser, quilt designer, fabric lover, fabric collector, and lover of quilts. That’s really just a long way of saying that she is a quilter! Lynn has been active in several guilds and quilt groups and joined CVQA last year when she relocated to Tennessee. Lynn designs her own quilts and continues to quilt outside of the box, bringing in her natural curiosity about color and how it affects quilt designs. Lynn is an experienced teacher. You can follow her on...
