Wow! Our Community Care Committee received 27 quilts, 17 Owl Buddies, and totes and pillowcases at the November meeting! In addition to that, Carol Stankiewicz donated five beautiful quilts for the domestic violence center's Christmas party. We have 22 women's quilts right now and I expect to get a few more at the December holiday party, so we will have enough for Bridges of Williamson County's Christmas party for women who have completed their yearlong program, and women who are currently staying at the shelter. Thank you all for your...

Is it almost November? I’m having a difficult time keeping track!! It seems like we just had our field trip visits for long arm demos and to learn “What you need to do to make your long-armer happy.” And now it’s time to prepare for an in-person November Guild meeting. It will be “sew” much fun to, once again, hear the chatter and see smiles that happen prior, during, and after guild meetings. I’m excited and I hope you are, too! It has been a really fun year with the many...

All groups are invited to participate in Show ‘n Tell showcasing what we’ve worked on and learned in 2025. In addition to our regular individual Show ‘n Tell and Outta the Box creations . . . small groups, July craft day participants, Williamson County Fair ribbon winners – all are welcome....

It has been an interesting time for us: We had a graduation at Vet Court on September 22. Eileen and Joyce attended with me to wrap the graduates in their quilts. There was a full house with lots of distinguished guests and the graduates loved their quilts. Thank you for supporting this noble cause. I supplied a bunch of quilts to Kathleen Hardin that she will present in November at her RV campground in Florida. We had a booth at Vet Fest on October 4, and presented six quilts to...

Even though we haven't had in-person meetings for two months, CCC has received/finished up six quilts - and I’m sure I will be taking away a carload of quilts at our November meeting! We are in need of ladies’ quilts for the domestic violence center (Bridges of Williamson County) Christmas party for women that have completed their program. I have about nine quilts and will need about 20 or more. So, if you have an extra quilt or two lying around, please bring it to the November or December meeting. This...

My calendar says that it’s Fall!! I sure hope that weather reports are in sync!! Just like you, I was super disappointed with the need to cancel our September Guild meeting. Kathleen Hardin, the organized lady that she is, was all set and ready to share her traveling adventures with us at that meeting. However, when I spoke with her on the telephone, she was very gracious regarding the cancellation, and we hope that she can reschedule her presentation for some time in 2026. By the time that you read this,...
