Time is flying but things have been very slow due to the weather. Meetings got cancelled and contacts were slim. I went to the VVA meeting Jan. 13 and had several of the vets tell me how much they loved their quilt but did not present one. The one I was supposed to do fell through due to the vet's health issue. I asked his buddy to present the quilt since it meant so much to the guy. My vet agreed and I asked the members to be sure vets...

What a month (Dec.) this has been, and it isn't over yet. We awarded 111 quilts in 2024 and have at least three more presentations already lined up for 2025. For those who think these quilts don't matter, let me share: I awarded a quilt to my dentist over two years ago, and I had an appointment for cleaning on Wednesday. He thanked me again for the beautiful quilt. Then told the hygienist about getting this beautiful quilt and a pillowcase made of Army fabric. The pillowcase goes with him when...

We’re beginning 2025 on a very happy note. Our Guild Board is complete!!! At the conclusion of our very enjoyable and relaxing December Guild Party, Chairman Colleen Cassidy shared with me that she’d been thinking of volunteering to be our Guild’s 2nd Vice President. By the end of our conversation it seemed to be “a done deal.” I’m so excited to have Colleen on board for 2025. As with Katie, a Guild vote will be needed to make it official. We’re off to a great start!!! At our December meeting 2025...

Christine from Bridges is holding the red quilt, we gave them the prettiest ones we had! Also since the last newsletter, ALL of our Owl Buddies have flown the coop! All 23 of them landed at Mercy...
